For overlaying and joining bronzes and similar non ferrous metals, steels to copper, cast iron, malleable iron or any combination of these to one another. Highly recommended for bearing surface and for wear facing against sea water corrosion.
DIFFUSALOY TINALOY
A low heat solder paste with flux for soldering dissimilar metal other than aluminium. Excellent where preplacing of solder is require, such as automatic soldering. Has a very good fluidity and joining strength.
Tinning Instruments, radiator repairs, gauges.
DIFFUSALOY ALBRO
A specially coated ‘Low Temp’ electrode with an excellent weldability for depositing dense and porosity free welds on steel, cast iron, aluminium bronze and other bronzes. Both for joining and overlaying. Deposits are shiny and matches to gold colour. This electrode is mainly for resistance to impingement attack and cavitation corrosion, excellent wear and abrasion resistant properties.
For super conditioning of pump impellers, valves, wear rings, gear teeth casings, sleeves, packing glands and for dissimilar metal joining applications. Deposits offer very good resistance to cavitation, and can be machined to smooth finish.
ALUMINIUM ALLOY
DIFFUSALOY 1301
Diffusaloy 1301 is a coated aluminium electrode distinguished by good welding properties having excellent arc stability. High strength, versatile alloy gives porosity free deposits, ideal for roduction as well as maintenance welding. With steady arc it gives dense and poreless seams which are not prone to cracking.
For joint and repair weldings on aluminium wrought and cast alloys when a higher strength is required. This alloy is particularly recommended for heat treated aluminium, heavy castings, long joints, repairing cracks, filling holes and building up missing sections, for example overhead water tank, motor end cover etc.
DIE BUILD SERIES
DIFFUSALOY DIE 100
DIE - 100 is a newly developed electrode with Cr-Ni-Mo specially for forging die – repairs in forging industry. The deposited weld metal is highly resistant to cracking even with higher impact load.It is used for welding high-strength tempered low-alloy steels as well as process welding on steels castings, cast steels of corresponding strength.
DIE - 100 is an all position electrode with high strength for repair of large forging dies, hot working tools, hammer bases, sow blocks anvil, devotails and insert dies, rolls of cold rolling mill. Any surface requires impact and friction resistance.
DIE-WELD
A newly developed low heat input electrode that gives a Cr-Ni-Mo-V alloy steel deposit which is considered to be standard for die-block repairs, both patch work type as well as extensive. The deposit has good machinability and gives improved die life, and hence it is the automatic choice for the repair and reclamation of hot forging dies. As deposited hardness is 32-36 RC. A post weld stress relief heating to 450oC for 1 to 1.50 hrs would further improve the toughness of the repair work.
Die-Block repair as well as heavy building.
DIE BUILD - E
A basic electrode which is designed to give a low carbon alloy steel weld deposit similar to H12 in its alloy content. It is extremely suitable for building up large composite dies or extensive repairs of similar insert dies used in hot-forging. The weld metal has an excellent hot cracking resistance and resistance to thermal shock. It exhibits superior wear resistance at high temperatures as compared to DIE- BUILD –N. The deposit is machinable and has a hardness of 41-45 RC. Its hardness can be controlled as desired by employing a suitable post weld heat treatment / tempering.
Die Build – E is extremely suitable for building up large composite dies or extensive repair of similar insert dies used in hot – forging. Suitable for lining of tools, dies and rotory drills piercing and mandrills.
DIE BUILD - S
A yet another basic coated Electrode of this series, designed to give a highly alloyed low carbon weld metal. The weld metal is machinable and exhibits a high degree of toughness, excellent hot strength and wear resistance at elevated temperature along with fine heat cracking resistance. It stands up well against temperature shocks and even admits water cooling from 6000C to 6500C this Electrode is designed to give the most superior weld metal out of the three Electrodes available in the Die Build series. The deposit has an as welded hardness of 41 – 47 RC.
Die Build – S is extremely suitable for building up large composite dies or extensive repair of similar dies found in steel, chemical industry, cryogenic as well as nuclear industry.
FILLER WIRE
SUPERALOY 1001
Special alloy formulation designed to produce hard coating which resists “softening”at elevated temperature service combined with low coefficient of friction. Excellentweldability.Non Magnetic coating will not gall, score or seize in service. Ideal for applications involving metal to metal contact.Deposites can be ground to close tolerance to a smooth, highly polished finish.
Can be used on steels, stainless steels, cast iron, nickel and nickel alloys. Recommended uses include all applications where frictional and abrasive wear are severe. Other applications include cams, screws, ceramic die cutters, patterns, dies, tools etc.
SUPERALOY 1006
Finest alloy available for high temperature service. Special cobalt base formulation assures combination characteristics of high hardness (RC 40-44) edge retention property and resistance to softening at high temperature. Compressive stress deformation, abrasion and friction (especially galling seizing). Resists corrosion at elevated temperature. Non magnetic, non heat-treatable, good weldability. Deposits can be machined using carbide tipped tools or by grinding.
For super-conditioning of valves, Hot punches, Ingot Tongs,Wire Drawing Blocks, Charging rams. Hot shear blades. Edger rolls, Exhaust valves and seats. Hot trim dies and swaging mandrels.
